GO KARLINE!

After a very unfortunate weekend at Zolder, Karline got another win and a 3rd in the Francorchampagne meeting at Spa.

She has now been on the podium 8 times in 10 races!

And it would very likely haven been 9 out of 10 and perhaps even 10 out of 10 if it hadn't been for that mistake she made at Zolder in the first race when she accidently hit Sechelariu as she was trying to get his third place in lap 2 of the race. The incident caused both drivers' retirement and so Karline had to start P15 in the second race. She got back up to P8 in the race, however both Cox and De Maeschalk scored a lot more points and so this put is back in 3rd for the championship with 2 events (4 races) to go.

Karline managed to strike back nicely in the first race at Spa taking a remarkable win. From P2 on the grid she found herself in P4 after the opening laps but she got her rivals back one by one and won in beautiful style.

For the second race she had to start P6 and slugged it out with the boys on the track and in the last lap had to settle for P3 having gotten really close to the P2 of Cox.

Going into the last event at this coming weekend we have a 12-points gap to Niels Cox to bridge which in normal circumstances is nearly impossible. But in motorracing you never know... All Karline has to do is drive the perfect races and win at least the first one and then we'll just have to hope for the best.

JACK

Jack unfortunately couldn't do quite as much testing as we'd hope to do due to budget restrictions and so he found it a bit hard to get back onto the pace he had at the prevoius round at Dijon some 4 months ago.

In practice on a wet Spa-Francorchamps he had a rather seriuos off. It seemsed to have shaken his confidence a little as in qualifying on a still damp track Jack did struggled.

In race one he went nicely from P11 to P5 and so found himself on the front row of the grid for race two. Unfortunately the top runners in the championship all seemed to be on good form and so Jack was not able to hang on to the top positions.

With quite a lot of testing scheduled before the last round of the championship Jack has every chance of getting P7 in the final standings of the championship and so he has definitely got something to fight for.
